Heartsaver First Aid with CPR/AED
First Aid includes general principles, medical, injury, and environmental emergencies and is taught in the first four hours.
There is then a 30 minute break.
Adult CPR & AED is taught in the next two hours.
If desired, child and infant is taught in the next hour and a half and is included in course pricing.
Note that this is a classroom presentation and so nothing online is required prior to attending.
The CPR/AED portion taught with this First Aid course is the basic, “Heartsaver” level. If you are a clinical provider, or need the BLS for Healthcare Providers course, then this would not be sufficient. Please read your requirements carefully, as not all verbiage will state “BLS”. Some simply state that it needs to be a “healthcare” CPR course. This is especially true of C.N.A programs. THIS IS NOT THE HEALTHCARE COURSE that C.N.A’s and others need to take.
AHA requires every student to have a current textbook in class and the cost of the textbook is not included. If you have one, be sure to bring it. We recommend you purchase your textbook along with your registration. Textbooks will also be available for purchase in class for $10. Additional information will be provided in your confirmation email.
